Safety Love Belonging

From the moment our soul enters our bodies we as tiny little humans are subjected to many many different trials. Most are the standard things we all need to learn, like taking a tumble when we first try to walk or putting non food items in our mouths as we figure out exactly what is and what isn’t edible. For many of us we were faced with situations that were far ahead of our own processing abilities. Without having someone there to accurately explain what was going on. This leaves us with an unfinished story. Human brains love stories. We love a beginning, a middle and an end. But these situations that left our tiny little brains confused gave us a beginning and a middle, but no end. When we have no ending to a story we will unconsciously replay or repeat the story in as many ways as we can possibly think of in a desperate attempt to understand why we felt that way in the first place.

This leaves our adolescent and adult years full of frustrating patterns. Constantly asking ourselves “why am I doing this again”. This can show up in our romantic relationships, our work places, our friendships and even the relationships with ourselves. Our nervous systems don’t know the difference between past and present so if a situation is close enough to that old story we are trying to finish it will activate and take us right back to the middle of that story.

I refuse to believe we need to be stuck in these old stories for the rest of our lives.

Our chakra system becomes blocked with these stories.

The titles of these stories would be;

The first time I felt fear/guilty

The first time I felt shame/scarcity

The first time I felt worry/anxious

The first time I felt grief/depressed

The first time I felt judgemental/jealous

The first time I felt crazy

The first time I felt truely alone

Without Safety, Love and Belonging we can have a difficult time cultivating self worth, recognition of our gifts and full potential. For those of us who have trauma finding safety within ourselves seems quite impossible. Love is almost foreign at times. As many of us have existed in loveless environments. Belonging is the opposite of fitting in, yep you heard me. Belonging is the opposite of fitting in.

The feeling of belonging comes from not only trust but also not feeling alone and/or abandoned.

Safety

Safety is a crucial element to thriving. When we have experienced trauma our sense of safety is skewed. Beginning with safety gives us the foundation to move into the higher levels of our own inner power.

Love

Inside of us is the only place that we can truely find unconditional love. All love between humans (exception* parent and child) is conditional. There is always something you or they could do that would sever any ties that were once there. This is why working with the heart is vital to receiving the unconditional love we all are craving.

Belonging

Belonging is the last step to feeling like you have a place in this world. A place where your dreams are possible.
